Mr. Kennedy

I am so proud to be at Westbrook as a full time employee. God has a plan for this school and I thank him every day that he wants me to be a part of that plan. I have been affiliated with Westbrook in some capacity since 1994, when my wife became an elementary school teacher. My first job here was as the Varsity Baseball Coach, from 1998 – 2000. Then about 7 years ago I had the opportunity to come back and take over the baseball program again. Isn’t it funny how God prepares you for the future and you not even be aware that He is doing so? This last spring Mrs. Greer and Mr. Croyle offered me an awesome chance to become a full time partner with them in molding the students here at Westbrook. I am currently working as Assistant Principal, in charge of 4th -6th grades and all student discipline, Assistant Athletic Director, and baseball coach. The excitement of getting up each morning and actually wanting to come to work is an indication that this is where God wants me and my family. “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord. Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11.

    Be a Positive Sports Parent

      • Encourage good sportsmanship by demonstrating positive support for all players, coaches, and officials.
      • Encourage your child and opposing players through praise and positive recognition.
      • Don’t give instructions to your child during games or practice. Let the coach correct player mistakes.
      • Cheer good plays by both teams!
      • If an official makes a bad call, Respect the Game, the rules of the game and the officials.
      • Before saying anything in the “heat of the moment”, ask yourself “will this embarrass my child or the team?”
      • Remember, the game is for the children, Not Adults!
      • Also, we are representing Westbrook Christian School!
